Subject: News from the atomic mass data center (AMDC): Publication of
         AME2016 and NuBASE2016 evaluations

    Publication of AME2016 and NuBASE2016 evaluations                   M. Wang

    The AME&NUBASE collaboration is pleased to announce that the next versions
    of the AME and NUBASE evaluations will be published at the end of 2016. The
    official publications will appear in the December 2016 issue of the journal
    Chinese Physics C as "The NUBASE2016 evaluation of nuclear properties" and
    "The AME2016 atomic mass evaluation".

    In these evaluations, we plan to include all data published in the main nuclear
    physics journals by the end of May 2016. However, if other results are available
    prior to publication that are worth considering, we kindly ask the authors to
    send them to us as private communications and we will try our best to include
    them in the new evaluations.

    The new AME2016 & NUBASE2016 evaluations will be available electronically
    only. In addition to the publication in the Chinese Physics C journal, the tables
    will be freely available at the following dissemination sites:

      · the mirror web-sites at IAEA-Vienna: https://www-nds.iaea.org/amdc/

    We intend to distribute free of charge a very limited number of hard copies of
    the AME2016 & NUBASE2016 publications to the major nuclear physics facilities.
    We kindly request that representatives of those facilities to send a request
    to Dr. Meng Wang (wangm@impcas.ac.cn) by September 30, 2016.
