    My name is Willem Boswinkel
    On behalf of the Freemason Lodge Jan Amos Comenius, I have
    the privilege to say a few words about Aaldert, who has taken
    of for the Eternal East, as we use to say.

    Aaldert was a Freemason in the heart, since he was initiated
    in 1953.
    As a Freemason, he has had several functions in the
    organization. For instance, he was Grand Master twice.
    From the time I started to attend the Lodge, I remember a
    Sylvester party that was combined with his 75th birthday.
    I remember vividly the way he enjoyed that.

    During our meetings we were always full of admiration about
    his knowledge of all kinds of subjects. He could speak so
    passionate about music, but also about other subjects.
    Especially his professional knowledge was enormous.
    I remember so well how he once explained the origin of black
    holes. By that he showed what a great teacher he was, to be
    able to explain something like that in ample 5 minutes in a
    way that you could understand it. Unfortunately I cannot
    reproduce it anymore.

    He was appointed as Master of Honor, for all he did for the
    Lodge. This honor was to express our great appreciation for
    his contribution and dedication to our Lodge. We lost a very
    loved and valued Brother. His memory will live on for a long
    time in our minds and hearts.
    Isn't it true that someone is only really dead, when no one
    speaks or thinks about him anymore. For our Brother Aaldert
    that time is not close yet.

    At the last meeting he attended only 2 weeks ago, he talked
    about a special spiritual experience that he had experienced
    during meditation. He would like to tell us about that some
    time. What that was like, we will never know.

    On behalf of the Lodge I would like to honor him by putting
    down 3 white roses, during which I will say some symbolic
    words. Apart from the usual grades as Freemason like Tiler,
    Warden and Master, Aaldert was also member of other
    Freemasonry groups. The chairman of the Kapittel of Agapè
    will lay out their symbolic 3 red roses.

    I wish the family a lot of strength to overcome the loss of
    Aaldert. If you need help from the Lodge we will be happy to
    offer that.
